Two MP officials suspended for negligence

Madhya Pradesh government has suspended two of its officials and transferred as many others for alleged negligence in their duty which was detected during a surprise inspection by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Pradeep Shukla, a sub-engineer with Kolar Nagar Palika, and Anoop Sharma, In-charge of Building Permission department, were suspended yesterday for not issuing building permissions within stipulated time limit, official sources said today.

While Rajesh Shrivastava, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Kolar, and Indu Tripathi, Assistant Director, were transferred, V P Kulshrestha, the Town and Country Planning Joint Director, has been issued a show-cause notice.

The action was initiated against the officials concerned after various discrepancies were detected in their departments during a surprised inspection conducted by Chouhan two days back.
