Two municipal officials caught for accepting bribe

A municipal commissioner and a senior assistant of Badangpet Nagara Panchayat of adjoining Ranga Reddy district of Telangana were allegedly caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking a bribe of Rs 72,000.

T Sai Venkata Naga Thrileswar Rao, municipal commissioner was caught by ACB officials while accepting bribe of Rs 72,000 through a senior assistant Ch Naresh from the complainant for processing the civil works bills worth Rs 24 lakh, an ACB release said today.

The bribe amount was recovered from Naresh which he received from the complainant on the directions of municipal commissioner.

Further investigation is underway, the release added.
