The incident took place at 2.10 am when two staff - Ranjit Sarkar and Sunando Bora - were entering the office on their shift duty.
The attackers were captured by CCTV cameras installed in the newspaper office.
The incident happened at the same spot where Tongam Rina, the associate editor of the daily, was shot at on July 15.
Sarkar suffered grievous injuries though Bora escaped with minor injury.
A police team rushed to the spot and the duo was admitted to R K Mission Hospital. A case has been registered and investigation launched, the police said.
This is the fourth major attack on the employees of the newspaper.
Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) condemned the attack on the employees of the newspaper and demanded arrest of the culprits.
