Two Nigerian nationals held, 4 kg heroin seized

Two Nigerian nationals were arrested here and 4 kg heroin, worth Rs 20 crore in the international market, was seized from them, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted last night at a house on Panchsheel Avenue here and the duo was arrested, Police Commissioner Arpit Shukla said.

The two accused have been identified as Agu Emanuel and Akoh Precious and Rs 2.45 lakh in cash was also recovered from them, he said.

During interrogation, Akoh said they used to stay here under the guise of students and two days ago they had brought 2 kg heroin from Delhi, Shukla claimed.
 

A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused and hunt is on to nab the other members of the drug network they were part of, he said.
