Two notorious criminals held

Police today arrested two

notorious criminals wanted in around a dozen of cases of highway robberies and murder on contract.

One of the arrested accused, Ankit Jat, is the son of a CISF sub-inspector, Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari said.

Ankit and Amit Jat were nabbed along with an accomplice Sonu alias Lala during routine checking near Jalnigam plant here, Tiwari said.

Police also recovered three stolen cars, pistols and several rounds from the trio, he said.

The duo were part of a gang involved in several robberies and murders, the SSP said, adding, four members of the gang were arrested yesterday.
 

Ankit and Amit were involved in a number of cases including murder of a shoe businessman from Sahibabad and robbing a car from Noida sector 39 last year, Tiwari said.
