The vigilance department today arrested two state government officials on graft charge from Bihar's Munger and Vaishali districts, an official release said.
Acting on a tip off, the vigilance sleuths laid a trap and arrested Tetiya Bumbar block Circle Officer (CO) Sanjit Bagchi from his government accommodation as soon as he accepted
Rs 5,000 as bribe from one Medha Lal Sah, a resident of Pareria village under Kharagpur police station area of Munger district, the release said.

During raid at his house, the vigilance sleuths seized an additional Rs 22,000 from there, the release said.
In a related development, Primary Health Centre (PHC) Manager Arunesh Kumar was arrested from his office for taking Rs 5000 as bribe from one Roshan Kumar, a resident of Kamalpur village under Bidupur police station area in Vaishali district, in lieu of releasing funds for construction of a shed for patients, it said.
Both state government officials have been booked under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and would be produced before a designated vigilance court for judicial remand, the release said adding, the anti-corruption department has laid 35 traps and arrested 37 accused this year.
