Two officials of DSP office suspended for corruption

Two officials attached to the office of East Godavari District Superintendent of Police were today suspended after they were found guilty of corruption.

Superintendent Ram Prasad and Clerk Srinivas were suspended by Deputy Inspector General (Eluru Range) Vikram Singh Maan on the recommendation of DSP Shanker Reddy.

Both were posted in Kakinada (East Godavari district headquarters) and were found guilty of graft in a departmental inquiry, a spokesperson of the DSP office said.

Prasad and Srinivas were accused of collecting money from candidates who recently cleared the police recruitment examination. They illegally collected money at the time of medical examination of candidates, he said.
