Two OGWs arrested

Two overground workers (OGWs) of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, allegedly involved in the killing of a civilian, were arrested in Kashmir's Pulwama district today.

"Two OGWs involved in the killing of 85-year-old Ghulam Mohammad have been arrested by police in Awantipora area," a police spokesman said.

The arrested persons were identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Dar and Lateef Ahmed Dar, he said.

"The duo along with a local Hizb militant Riyaz Naikoo killed Ghulam Mohammad Dar when he was coming out of Masjid after offering prayers on March 8 this year," the spokesman said.

A Chinese pistol used in the crime was recovered from the possession of the arrested persons, he said adding police had launched a manhunt to nab Naikoo.
