Two Pak women, one Filipina arrested with cocaine in Nepal

Three women, two Pakistani nationals and a Filipina, have been arrested here for allegedly possessing large quantity of cocaine worth Rs 56 million, police said today.

A special team of Narcotic Control Unit of Nepal police arrested the three accused from Kathmandu on June 6.

The accused have been identified as Louis Arthur (52), Ayesha Hussain (46) of Pakistan and Cristina Abaygar Haro (37) of the Philippines, police said.

It is learnt that the cocaine recovered is worth around Rs 56 million. In Nepal, cocaine costs Rs 20,000 per gram.

According to the preliminary investigation, the arrested women are believed to be only the carriers of the drug, police said.
