Two passengers detained at airport for smuggling gold

Gold worth about Rs 1.05 crore was seized from two air passengers who arrived from Bahrain today.

According to airport officials, Air Intelligence Unit of Customs found that the Indian nationals were carrying 1.5 kg and 1.3 kg of the precious metal in their respective suitcases.

They were detained for inquiry, the officials said.
