In separate incidents, two people were arrested and contraband items were seized from their possession in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Jasbir Paul was apprehended as he tried to flee after spotting a police patrol in Bari Brahma bazaar. The police later seized five Kg of poppy from his bag, a police officer said.
In another incident, one Lalit Kumar was arrested with some narcotic substance in Vijaypur belt of Samba district today.
