Two persons allegedly involved in supplying drugs among jail inmates and various other crimes have been arrested, police said today.

Police have recovered a stolen car, a motorcycle and two mobile phones from their possession.

With the arrest of Mohammad Amin (40), a resident of Mongolpuri and Sandeep (26) of Mazri area, police have claimed to have solved two cases related to supply of narcotropic substances among the inmates of Rohini Jail, two cases of auto-lifting and a robbery case.

"On December 9, one Neeraj Kumar was robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh by accused Amin and two others at gun-point in Mongolpuri.

"The accused Amin had also fired two rounds on the victim but he luckily survived. An FIR was registered in this regard," a senior police official said.

While the police arrested two accused in this case, Amin managed to evade arrest by frequently changing his hide-outs.

Police then received a tip-off about Amin coming near Ayodhya Chowk at Rohini on April 14.

Accordingly, a trap was laid. Amin reached the spot in a car where one more person came and both of them were apprehended by the police.
