Mumbai police have arrested two persons from the district for allegedly committing a series of burglaries and stealing jewels worth several crores of rupees in Parle and other posh areas in Mumbai city.
Police said today that one of them was arrested while attempting to open a jewellery shop at Pazhayakayal area in the district.
Both of them left for Mumbai several years back.
