Slueths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a cashier and a peon posted at the municipality office of Keshoraipatan town here while the duo was accepting a bribe from a contractor, officials said today.
The accused, Shanker Lal Meena and Peer Mohammed, were arrested yesterday while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 15000, Circle Inspector (CI) ACB Bundi Neeraj Gupta said.
They had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 31,000 from Amit Sharma, a CC road construction contractor for the clearance of his cheque of Rs 2.86 lakhs, but they later settled the bribe amount at Rs 25000, police said.

Mohammed, a fourth-class employee, was arrested by ACB personnel while he was accepting an amount of Rs 15000 from the complainant.
Police said Meena, a cashier, had already accepted Rs 10,000 from the contractor before a complaint was lodged. The amount was recovered from Meena later.
The cheque of Rs 2.86 lakhs was also recovered from Meena but it was without the signature of the municipality chairman, Gupta said, adding, the accused would be produced before ACB court in Kota this afternoon.
ACB is also investigating the role of an executive officer (EO) and chairman of the municipality in the case, he added.
Both officials were called to the municipality office yesterday at the time of raid, but they did not turn up.
