Two persons were arrested from Wazidowal village near hear and 10 kg poppy husk was seized from them, the police said today.
Pawan Kumar and Jarnail Ram, travelling on a scooter, were intercepted at a checkpoint. On searching them 10 kg poppy husk was seized from them, following which they were arrested, a police official said.
The two accused have been booked under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and their scooter was also impounded, he said.
