Two persons attacked by leopard in UP village

Two persons were attacked by a leopard in Sevraha village here, forest officials said today.

The incident occurred when a leopard lost its way and entered into the village and it attacked two persons when the locals tried to corner it, DFO Sohalwa forest range, SS Srivastava said.

The injured were identified as Amit Misra (30) and Ram Singh Pandey (18), he said.

Both have been admitted to a hospital, he said.

Police and forest department teams were camping in the village to guard the locals, the DFO added.
