Two persons, who had gone to a dance bar in the district, were allegedly beaten up by some persons and held captive by the bar's staff under the suspicion that one of them was filming the dancers, police said today.
The incident took place on Friday at around 10.30 PM when the duo, Hariprasad Verma (30) and Dinanath Singh (40), had gone to a dance bar, Inspector V C Labde of Mira Road Police Station said.
"As one of the complainant was looking at a picture on his mobile phone, a staff of the bar approached and asked him why was he filming the dancers. After this, the duo was beaten up by wooden sticks," he said, adding around 17 persons including five staff of the bar were involved in beating up the duo.
