Two persons were crushed to death while seven others injured when a truck rammed into a stationary vehicle from behind near Gausaghat in Darbhanga district today, police said.
Sadar police station incharge SHO Santosh Kumar Singh said that incident occurred when a truck smashed the stationary vehicle from behind.
The intensity of the collision was such that two women were flung on the road from the vehicle whose door had opened as an impact and the speeding truck ran over them, he said.

The deceased and injured had come along with their relatives to Gausaghat mela to perform 'Mundan sanskar' from Patepur of Vaishali district, the incharge SHO said.
The two women, who died on the spot, have been identified as Rajkumari Devi, a resident of Muzaffarpur and Saraswati Devi, a resident of Nalanda district. Both the deceased were in their mid 60s, police said.
One woman identified as Rajmani Devi, who was seriously injured, has been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital while six others including a minor have been admitted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital, the incharge SHO said.
The truck has been seized while its driver managed to give a slip to the police.
