Two persons were killed while two others sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a truck and dumper near Birajpur village of Dumka district today, a senior police officer said.
The victims were identified as the drivers of both the vehicles, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Singh said.
The incident occurred when the dumper collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction and the drivers of both the vehicles were killed on the spot under the impact of the collision, he said.
The injured persons, who were the conductors of the vehicles, were rushed to a nearby hospital, he added.
