Two pilgrims die enroute to Vaishno Devi

Two persons, including a woman, on their way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, died reportedly after suffering heart attack.

A 43-year-old man, identified as Parbat Singh of Gujarat, today collapsed while on his way to the cave shrine at Banganga belt , a police officer said, adding he was shifted to a Medical Centre where doctors declared him brought dead.

In another incident, Salochana Balla, in her 40s, from Maharshtra's Jalgaon district, fell unconscious en route the cave shrine late last night. She was immediately taken to a dispensary where the doctors declared her brought dead, a police officer said.
 

The bodies were handed over to the families after legal formalities, the officer said.
