Two ultras of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were arrested with arms and ammunition in an anti-extremist operation by the security personnel in Khudbir jungle of Khunti district, police said today.
On receiving information that a group of PLFI militants gathered in a jungle to hold a meeting last night Security personnel comprising District Armed Police and CRPF launched a search operation, Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta told reporters.
Two militants were held as others managed to escape during the operation, he said.
One AK 47 rifle, five cartridges and nine mobile phones were seized from them.
