Two ultras of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were today killed in an encounter with the security personnel during an anti-Naxal operation in Madhatu village under Arki police station of the Khunti district, a senior police officer said.
The bodies of the ultras have been recovered, but their identities were yet to be established as the security personnel led by district Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta were yet to return to their camp, said DIG (Ranchi) A K Singh.
The encounter took place this evening, he said.
According to preliminary reports, he said the security personnel have recovered one AK-47 rifle, two rifles of 315 bore and live cartridges from the spot.
