Two policemen killed, five injured in accident

Two policemen were killed and five others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck in Ajmer district.

The police truck was on its way to Jaipur from Jalore to collect wireless sets for elections last night when it collided with another truck coming from opposite direction, killing Head constable Hanuman Prasad and constable Bhim Singh on the spot, police said.

The injured were taken to JLN government hospital in Ajmer.

The driver of the private truck, loaded with LPG cylinders, managed to escape after the mishap which occurred near Tabiji under Mangaliawas police station area.
 

The truck has been seized, police said.
