Sub-divisional Police Officer Ravish Kumar said the encounter took place when three miscreants snatched the bag and mobile phone of the manager of a bank at the village.
When police chased to arrest them, the miscreants started firing and in the ensuing encounter two policemen and one of the criminals were injured.
The injured miscrenat was arrested and two pistols and 11 live cartridges were recovered from him, Kumar added.
