Security forces todayfoundtwo powerful improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by Naxals from an insurgency-hit pocket of Chhattisgarh'sRajnandgaondistrict, police said.
"The explosives, weighing 5 kg and 20 kg, were unearthed by a joint team of security personnel from a hill between Nawatola and Pallemadi villages under Khadgaon police station limits," a senior police official said.
As per the official, a composite squad of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and district force had launched an anti-Maoist operationtowards Nawatola, Kukrelpar and Pallemadi villages.

The IEDswere placed in pressure cookers and hidden beneath stones, the official said, adding they were immediately neutralised by the bomb disposal squad.
Theexplosives were meant to harm security personnel during their operations in the region, he added.
