Two powerfulIEDs, allegedly planted by Maoists to harm security personnel, were recovered separately in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district, police said.
An Improvised Explosive Device (IED), weighing around 30 kg, was today unearthed by a team of District Reserve Group (DRG) from a dirt track in the dense forests under Keshkal police station limits, Kondagaon Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told PTI.
While the security personnel were carrying out an area domination-cum-search operation towardsBatrali and Kuemari villages road from Keshkal, they spotted the explosiveplaced in a big steel container hidden underground, the SP said.

Theexplosive was meant to harm security personnel during their operations in the region, he said, adding that the IED was immediately destroyed by the bomb disposal squad.
In another incident, a 5 kg IED was yesterday recovered from the forests under Urindabeda police station limits of Kondagaon, Singh said.
