Two members of an alleged robbery gang were today arrested and as many pistols, 10 live cartridges and one stolen motorcycle recovered from them, police said.
The two were identified as Prabhjot Singh and Jarmanjit Singh, both hailing from different villages in Tarn Taran district, a police official said.
Their gang leader Jaggu Bhagwanpuria was already in Faridkot jail, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, Rajinder Singh said.

The duo was allegedly involved in the conspiracy of freeing gangster Akal Kumar Khatri from police custody on February 4 from Nawanshahr, he said.
Khatri, then lodged in Faridkot jail, was brought for appearance before a court in Nawanshahr but managed to escape police custody after the appearance, he said.
The two pistols recovered from the duo were used in firing at two cops for freeing Khatri, he said.
A Special Investigation Team was pursuing the case, he said.
