Two people, allegedly involved in the trade of liquid ganja, have been arrested here, police said Saturday.
About 1,934 gm of liquid ganja worth Rs 7 to 8 lakh, an electronic weighing machine, a car and two cellphones were seized from the two, the police said.
Based on information that liquid ganja was being sold from an apartment in Ameenpur village in neighbouring Sangareddy district, the vigilance and enforcement officials and the local police raided the flat.
Two men in the apartment told the police that a person from Visakhapatnam illegally brings the liquid ganja (made from processed cannabis) in small tins and in honey bottles to be sold to known customers, a press release said.
The two were paid for filling the bottles, which was also done in the flat, and one of the men sells the liquid in Bengaluru where he works for a private firm, the release said.
The two were taken into custody while efforts were on to catch two others allegedly involved in the trade, the release added.
