Two senior IPS officers in Punjab were today transferred with immediate effect, an official spokesman said.
He said Director General of Police (Human Resource Development) Siddharth Chattopadhyaya has been posted as DGP/PSPCL.
Chattopadhyaya was leading a special investigation team constituted by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to investigate the role of SSP Moga Raj Jit Singh and a dismissed police inspector in a drug trafficking case.
Meanwhile, senior IPS officer R P S Brar has been posted as ADGP/Human Rights Punjab, the spokesman said.
