The designated CBI court judge B K Srivastava sentenced the then PWI Munnilal Paswan and a trolleyman Bindeshwar to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15,000 each after finding them guilty under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Acting on the complaint of a trolleyman Tilak Mahto, CBI sleuths arrested Paswan and Bindeshwar on February 21, 2004 and recovered the graft amount of Rs 6,600 from them, the prosecution said.

The tainted PWI and the trolleyman, both posted in Bihar's Samastipur district, had collected the amount from 12 trolleymen for not marking them as absent from duty on a given date.
