A Mahila court here today sentenced two persons to life imprisonment for murdering a two-year-old girl and robbing her gold chain at nearby Kottaipattinam on March 28 this year.
Judge Pichammal also slapped a fine of Rs 2,000 each on them.
Abudhagir (28)and Feroz Khan (33) kidnapped the child while she was playing in front of her house that day. They later murdered her.

On finding their child missing, the parents filed a complaint with police who launched a search and found the body some days later inside a jute bag. They were arrested later.
The Judge said evidence produced by police in court proved that the two had murdered the girl and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
