Two shot dead in land dispute

Two persons, including an

ex-serviceman, were today shot dead in a land dispute in a village in Buxar district of Bihar.

Buxar Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar said a land dispute was going on between the two deceased for a long time.

The two, along with their supporters, clashed today at Bauara village under Rajpur police station and Ram Badan Yadav of the same village and ex-serviceman Gopal Thakur of neighbouring Kurhaini village were killed.

"The two groups fired at each other in which Yadav was killed first and then Thakur. We have started probing the incident. People involved in the shootout are being identified," Kumar added.
 

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.

Police personnel have been deputed at the village to ensure that the matter doesn't aggravate further.
