Two sisters have allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling of their room in Shivpur area here, police said today.
Sunita (45) and Nidhi (40) have allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling of their room in Shivpur -VDA colony and their body was recovered yesterday, said Surya Prakash Mishra, SHO of Shivpur police station.
Their body was recovered after a neighbour informed police about the stinking smell coming out from their room from past 2-3 days.
After reaching on the spot their body was found hanging from the ceiling inside the room, he said.
They were facing financial problems after their father's death four years ago, who was a government clerk, he said, adding, the sisters were living alone in the house.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem and further investigations are on.
