Two people were rescued hours after they were stuck in flash floods in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Saturday, the police said.
They stuck in a nullah in Badagranwa near Beas river, which is in spate due to heavy rainfall, Kullu Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Singh said.
A rescue team, including the fire brigade personnel, rescued them, the SP added.
Six people were also rescued from Neugal Khad near Om Hydro Power Project near Palamapur in Kangra on Saturday morning, an official said.
As a precautionary measure, Lahru bridge in Kangra district has been closed for vehicular traffic following heavy rains, a district official said.
Sihunta Chowari road has been washed away along with a retaining wall near Phina Singh Dam and roads have been severely damaged at Ladwara in Kangra district, the officer said.
