Two students among 3 arrested for robbing and stabbing

Kalu alias Anoop alias Lalit (20) -- a resident of Madangir, Ved Prakash alias Vicky (19) -- a resident of Sangam Vihar and Alok (20) -- a resident of Pushpa Vihar -- were arrested yesterday for robbing and stabbing Brijesh and Rahul, who were passing through NBCC Plaza on the intervening night of June 6 and 7, a senior police official said.

"19-year-old Brijesh and his cousin 18-year-old Rahul, both residents of Sangam Vihar, were returning home from a food joint in Khirki Village where they were employed when the accused intercepted their bicycle and also dragged Rahul to a distance before beating him. When Brijesh tried to save Rahul, they snatched his cell phone and stabbed him with an intention to kill and escaped on their motorcycles," said Chhaya Sharma, DCP South District.

 

During investigation, police got information regarding presence of a criminal in Sangam Vihar who had recently stabbed a person in Saket area.

A police team conducted raid and apprehended Vicky from Sangam Vihar area last evening. Based on his information, two others were also arrested while one of them Pawan, a resident of Sangam Vihar, is still absconding and efforts were on to arrest him, Sharma said.

During interrogation, Vicky said he was a regular student of Vocational College and also enrolled in a course of Office Management
