Two students crushed by speeding bus

Two college students died on the spot after being hit by a speeding bus in Bihar's Madhubani district today.

Police officers said the accident happened near Shambhuar village under the Town police station of the district and the deceased have been identified as Mohammad Ali (23) and Mohammad Khurshid (19).

Town Station House Officer (SHO) Kumar Kartik said "The two students were travelling on a motorcycle when the speeding bus coming from Darbhanga rammed them. The bus driver fled with the vehicle."

Following the mishap, angry villagers of the area blocked traffic and demanded Rs 10 lakh compensation for the families of each of the victims and arrest of the driver and owner of the bus. They dispersed after the police assured them of action.
 

The dead bodies have been sent for post mortem.
