"The victims were identified as Gaurishankar Mahanta (10) and Priti Pallabi Marandi (6) of Sri Aurobinda Integral School at Kumbharamunda, about 20 km from here," Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) Lambodar Shaw said.
While Mahanta was brought dead to the district headquarters hospital, Marandi died at the hospital during treatment, he said.
Thirteen other inmates of the school hostel have also been brought to the hospital as it was initially suspected that the students had suffered food poisoning, he said.
However, during treatment it was found that the two children have died due to snake bite, he said.
