Two suspected drug traffickers held in Noida

Two persons have been arrested here for suspected drug trafficking after two-and-a-half kg of cannabis was seized from them, police said today.

The two, identified as Pramod Yadav (25) and Raju Mani (28) were arrested yesterday from a CNG pump in Parthala area, under Phase 3 police station limits, they said.

While Yadav is a local, Mani hails from Odisha, but was settled in Ghaziabad for the last few years.

"A total of 2.5 kg of ganja was recovered from the two accused,"Phase 3 Station House Office Amit Kumar Singh said.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said, adding they were presented in a local court which remanded them in judicial custody.
