Two suspected KLO operatives held by BSF

Two suspected Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) operatives and a cattle smuggler were arrested today from the Khutadaha border outpost in the Malda district, senior BSF officers said.

Two suspected KLO operatives, Bhudeb Roy and Nirmal Sarkar were arrested while they were trying to sneak into Bangladesh this morning, said DIG, BSF (Malda Sector), Arjun Singh Rathore.

"The incident happened under the jurisdiction of Bamangola police station and two sophisticated pistols, six rounds of live ammunition, several mobile SIM cards, BSF uniform and fake identity cards were recovered from the duo. A motorbike was also seized from them and they were presently being interrogated by the officers of the 31st Battalion," said Rathore.
 

A cattle smuggler, Saiful Alam, was also arrested today from a location close by while he was trying to illegally cross the international borders, he added.
