Two swine flu cases detected in Odisha, 90 infected by dengue

"Of the 26 blood samples so far tested, two tested positive to H1N1 virus. In case of dengue, 90 persons were infected of whom two have died," Health and Family Welfare minister Damodar Rout told reporters here.

While one woman from Angul district was detected with H1N1 virus at a private hospital yesterday, a fresh case was reported from a patient from Jagatsinghpur district at the same hospital today, Rout said.

The minister said a team of doctors and para medical staff have been sent to take blood more samples.

Asking health authorities to store tamiflu medicines at all district headquarters for treatment of swine flu, Rout said steps were being taken as per the guideline set by the central government for its treatment as also of dengue.
