Two teachers of a government school died today after allegedly being run over by a container truck in Shahabad area of the Baran district, police said.
Kesri Chand and Zahid, both 48-year-old and resident of Shahabad town of Baran district, died on the spot when the truck ran over them this evening on national highway 27 in Shahabad area, SHO of Shahabad Police Station, Satyanarayan said.
They were posted as teachers a government school in nearby Kasbathana village and returning from the duty when the mishap occurred, he said, adding bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem.
A case of negligent driving was registered against the truck driver, who fled from the spot after the incident, the police official said.
