Two teachers killed, another injured in road mishap

Two persons were killed and another injured in a road accident near here this morning, police said.

The trio, all teachers in a Nagpur-based school, was travelling in a car which was hit by a speeding bus belonging to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation while taking a turn in village Umri near Pandharkawda town of the district at around 11 am, they said.

The car was on its way to Hyderabad from Nagpur.

The deceased were identified as Jagmohan Reddy (41) and Ravikumar Reddy (44). The injured, Rocky Decuna (42), was rushed to a private hospital in Nagpur, over 100km from here.
 

The trio worked as teachers in the Nagpur-based Mount Fort English Medium School and hailed from Hyderabad, police said.

The police have taken the bus into custody and arrested the driver.
