Two teenage girls were killed today after a truck hit their scooter at Chandausi area here, police said.
Surabhi Yadav (16) and Dhanya (15) were going to school this morning when their two-wheeler was hit by the truck at Moradabad-Chandausi road, killing them on the spot, they said.
The incident sparked protest by the locals who tried to set afire the truck.
The police, however, reached the spot and controlled the situation.
An FIR has been registered in this connection and efforts are underway to nab the driver, they said.
