Haryana Government today suspended two revenue officials for allegedly misusing their official positions and disobeying government orders.

Suspension orders of Tehsildar (Sales), Vikas Singh and Bir Singh, Kanungo (Sales) of Sonipat were issued on the basis of a report submitted by the Sonipat Deputy Commissioner, an official spokesman said.

According to the report, the Vikas Singh and Bir Singh had issued sales deed of a custodian land situated in the Model Town shopping complex in Sonipat.

In a written communication, Deputy Commissioner, Sonepat said Vikas Singh has also been accused of attempting to exercise powers of Sub-registrar of Rai between April 20 and May 11, 2016 without having charge of the Sub-Registrar, he said.

During this period, Vikas Singh had allegedly misused his official position and registered 217 deeds as the Sub-registrar, whereas he was holding the charge of Tehsildar of Sonipat.

He had registered all these deeds without having any office orders of the government or by any senior officer, the spokesman said.

Vikas Singh was not paying heed to redressal of grievances of people received on the Chief Minister's window despite the fact that he was warned for the same, which is also a serious lapse on his part.
