Two terrorists arrested in Pakistan

Two terrorists, who were planning to carry out attacks on Muharram rallies and involved in attacking an army officer in 2013, were arrested today in Pakistan's northwestern Peshawar district, police said.

A spokesman for Counter Terrorism department (CTD) said the arrested terrorists were planning to carry out attack on Muharram rallies.

The CTD personnel conducted a raid in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area after getting information from intelligence agencies about the presence of the terrorists.

They were arrested from Phase 7 Hayatabad township after a successful raid.

The arrested terrorists are the big supporters and financiers of terrorist activities, and involved in attack on a Major of Pakistan Army back in 2013.
 

Two hand grenades and some explosive material were also recovered from them.
