Two terrorists killed in Pakistan

At least two terrorists were killed and a policeman injured today in a raid carried out by the security forces in Pakistan's restive northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The raid was conducted at a house in Hayatabad township following a tip off about the presence of terrorists.

The terrorists upon seeing the police started indiscriminate firing which was retaliated by the policemen, police said.

Two terrorists were killed and a policeman sustained injuries during the exchange of firing, police added.

The injured was shifted to hospital and the Police have started an investigation.

In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen shot dead a police officer at Yakatooth area in interior Peshawar city.
 

According to police, the officer was on duty when the gunmen on a motorbike opened fire at him.

He died after receiving multiple bullets wounds. The killers escaped from the scene, police said.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
