Two abandoned tiger cubs were found from a jungle in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district this evening.

Some people who had gone to the forest near Garobandha village noticed the cubs and mistook them for kittens, Forest Department sources said.

On closer look, they found them to be tiger cubs and handed them over to the Forest Department, the sources said.

Stating they were two to three days old only, they said the cubs would be handed over to the state zoo after initial medical treatment.
