Security personnel
arrested two ultras and recovered over 4,000 live cartridges from Kotanger Jamtoli jungle under Rania police station of Khunti district, a senior police officer said today.
Addressing a press conference here, Superintendent of Police Anis Gupta said the recovery was made when the security personnel comprised of CRPF and District Armed Police were on routine anti-naxal operation in the jungle.
The security personnel recovered 4068 live cartridges, one generator set, 1005 empty cartridges, among other daily core items, he said.
An ultra belonging to People Liberation of Front of India (PLFI), Munna Mahato alias Munna Gope was arrested from the jungle, he said adding that another PLFI activist, Budu Munda was arrested from Murhu police station area of the district.
