Two ultras of the banned Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) were Saturday arrested in Garhwa and Palamau districts, the police said here.

Garwha, Superintendent of Police, Shivani Tiwari said raids were conducted following a tip-off that JJMP ultras were seen in the district.

The outfits 'area commander' Ram Sundar Singh was arrested from Kurum village in Garhwa district.

After interrogation of Singh, his associate Santosh Yadav was nabbed from Satbarwa in neighbouring Palamau district, the SP said.

A country-made pistol, four bullets and naxal literature were seized from their possession, the SP added.
