Two unidentified bodies were found from separate places here today, the police said.

The body of a man, who appeared to be in his 20s, was found from a park near the Town Hall opposite the mayor's office, they said.

The body was sent to the mortuary of the civil hospital, where it will be kept for 72 hours for identification.

The body of another man was found from the railway tracks near Khajurala village in the Phagwara-Jalandhar railway section.

Government Railway Police (GRP) official Harmesh Lal said the deceased appeared to be middle-aged, adding that he could have fallen off a running train as his face was badly smashed.

A Jalandhar-New Delhi rail ticket was found from the spot but there was no identity card or any other similar document, he said.

The body was sent to the mortuary, said Lal.
